Coffee and other things

I caved and bought a coffee press. I'm trying to not drink Coke anymore because 1) it's expensive, 2) it doesn't exist on Baylor's campus, and 3) you know, all that sugar and stuff. Note that it's not because I'm trying to end my caffeine dependency. Not in grad school anyway. I tried instant coffee but it's not strong enough. Target had a wide selection of coffee makers, but I don't need 12 cups at one time (good grief I hope I don't need 12 cups at once!).

So now I have my travel coffee mug/press and I'm giving it a test run with a Sumatra blend that Karen recommended because its extra bold. And she was correct, it is very strong. If it's strong enough to make me function @ 8 am is another thing entirely.

My poor body doesn't know how to do mornings. It doesn't wake up until at least 9, which doesn't bode well for 8 am classes. Sigh. If only all classes could be at night when I'm awake.

I'm listening to Abney Park and it makes me miss Laura and Megan and Numbers and dancing. There's a part of me left in Houston and at Rice that didn't transfer to Waco. Saturdays always make me miss it.
