Hello out there?

I normally would not post about grades. BUT! this will be an exception, because I learned about 200 vocabulary words this weekend- many of which would never make it into anyone's but a seminary student's usage. We took the test (luckily a lot easier than I was expecting) and I made a 110/100. Which means that my grade in the class is officially higher than anything I ever had as an undergrad. I'm not sure how I should feel. I'm happy, but I'm worried that I'm getting lulled into a false sense of security, because it is, of course, graduate school. Or maybe I have actually found a subject that I'm not completely incompetent in, one that I also enjoy. And I really do enjoy theology. It's the only 3 hour class that I have that I don't feel like banging my head on something during. Marx in Context is a close second- problem largely being that it was Friday afternoon and by 4:30 pm I didn't understand anything anymore. So yay. Now if I could only get my history test back...

Kevin confirmed that I was approved to be a messenger to BGCT for South Main. Whoop. Now all I have to do is figure out who is running. If no one responds to me by the end of this week I'm seriously just going to call BGCT until I get a response from someone. It's ridiculous that they don't have it on the website. How do people make an informed decision, or is it an assumption that everyone is just going to vote how their pastor tells them to and that the pastors have an underground information network. Maybe a network staffed by super-intelligent gophers or meerkats. That would be awesome.

I started my value and ethics essay. I don't know how I'm going to stretch what I see as a 3 page essay into 5 pages. I've done it before, but it's so much harder when the papers are short. Adding another page or 2 to a 20 page paper is easy. I think it's due Friday, although our email says Wednesday- but Dr. Dyer said that the paper was being moved from Wednesday to Friday last week but then sent out an email about this Wednesday's class and mentioned that the paper was due Wednesday. And he's not answering emails. So I figure I should get most of it written, or at least part of it written, in case he changed his mind. Which would be quite horrible because I know that most people haven't started the paper because they have 17000 other things due this week. I want it to be Christmas break.
